Skillazo Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, operates the Skillazo online casting platform (the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you access or use the Platform, submit an audition application, upload content, or make a payment.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including applicants, visitors, and any other individuals who interact with our services. By accessing the Platform or submitting an application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use the Platform or submit an application.
This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the Platform.
When you submit an audition application, we collect the following personal information directly from you: your full legal name (first name and last name); your age; your gender; your email address; your phone number; your city, region, and country of residence; your physical characteristics including height and weight; languages you speak; and your acting, sports, or other relevant experience.
As part of the application process, you upload media content to our Platform, including: headshot photographs or full-body images; video audition recordings (typically 30 to 90 seconds in length); and any additional media, documents, or materials you choose to submit in support of your application.
When you pay the application fee, we collect limited payment-related information, including: the type of payment method used (e.g., credit card, debit card, mobile money); transaction reference numbers and identifiers; payment status (pending, completed, refunded, failed); payment dates and timestamps; and the currency and amount of the transaction. It is important to note that full payment credentials, including credit card numbers, debit card numbers, bank account details, CVV codes, and mobile money PINs, are processed and stored exclusively by Stripe, Inc., our third-party payment processor. Skillazo Inc. does not have access to, collect, or store these sensitive payment credentials on our systems.
When you access our Platform, we automatically collect certain technical information, including: your Internet Protocol (IP) address; your browser type, version, and language preferences; your device type, operating system, and screen resolution; the dates and times of your visits to the Platform; referring URLs and the pages you visit on our Platform; and general geolocation information derived from your IP address.
We collect information through the following methods:
(a) Directly from you. The primary way we collect information is when you voluntarily submit it through the audition application form on our Platform. This includes all personal information, media content, and supplementary materials you provide.
(b) From uploaded files. When you upload photographs and video recordings to our Platform, we receive the file content along with associated metadata such as file size, file type, and upload timestamp.
(c) Through Stripe. When you complete a payment, Stripe transmits limited transaction information to us, including payment status, transaction identifiers, and payment method type. Stripe processes all sensitive payment credentials independently.
(d) Automatically through technology. We use cookies, server logs, and similar technologies to automatically collect technical information about your device and how you interact with the Platform. Further details are provided in Section 13 (Cookies & Tracking).
(e) From third parties. In limited circumstances, we may receive information about you from third parties, such as casting partners, talent agents, or referral sources who recommend you for the audition. In such cases, we will only use the information for the purpose for which it was shared.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
(a) Application processing. To receive, process, review, and evaluate your audition application, including assessing your suitability for roles in the SKILLAZO production.
(b) Communication. To communicate with you about the status of your application, callback invitations, casting decisions, and other matters related to the audition process. This includes sending email confirmations, status notifications, and administrative messages.
(c) Payment processing. To process your application fee, manage payment status, initiate refunds where applicable, and maintain transaction records for accounting and tax compliance purposes.
(d) Identity verification. To verify your identity and the accuracy of the information you provide in your application, which may include cross-referencing submitted information with publicly available data or contacting references.
(e) Production team review. To share your application profile, headshot, video audition, and relevant information with the production team, including directors, producers, casting directors, and other authorized production personnel who are involved in casting decisions.
(f) Legal compliance. To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, and governmental requests, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
(g) Platform improvement. To analyze usage patterns, identify technical issues, and improve the Platform’s functionality, user experience, and casting process efficiency.
(h) Fraud prevention. To detect, prevent, and address fraud, unauthorized access, security incidents, and other potentially prohibited or illegal activities.
(i) Promotional use. With your consent where required by law, to use your likeness in promotional materials related to the casting process, including social media content, press releases, and behind-the-scenes materials about the audition process.
(j) Analytics. To generate anonymized, aggregated analytics and statistical reports about the applicant pool. Such anonymized data does not identify you personally and may be used for internal research and reporting.
For users located in jurisdictions with comprehensive data protection laws, including the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the United Kingdom’s Data Protection Act 2018, and Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), we process your personal information on the following legal bases:
(a) Performance of a contract. Processing that is necessary to fulfill our obligations under the Terms of Service and to process your audition application, including receiving your application, processing your payment, evaluating your submission, and communicating casting decisions.
(b) Consent. Where you have provided explicit, informed consent for specific processing activities, including the uploading of media content (photographs and videos), the use of your likeness in promotional materials, and the receipt of certain communications. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, though withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
(c) Legitimate interests. Processing that is necessary for our legitimate business interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms. Our legitimate interests include improving our services and user experience, preventing fraud and ensuring Platform security, conducting internal analytics and research, and protecting our legal rights.
(d) Legal obligation. Processing that is required to comply with a legal obligation to which Skillazo Inc. is subject, including tax recordkeeping and reporting obligations, compliance with child protection laws, responses to lawful requests from public authorities, and compliance with applicable data protection regulations.

(c) The data protection laws of the United States may differ from those of your country of residence. By submitting your application and using the Platform, you explicitly consent to the transfer of your personal information to the United States and its processing in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
(d) Where required by applicable data protection laws (such as the GDPR), we implement appropriate safeguards to protect your personal information during international transfers. These safeguards may include the use of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, data processing agreements with our service providers, and other transfer mechanisms recognized under applicable law.
(e) If you have questions about the specific safeguards we apply to international data transfers, please contact us at privacy@skillazo.co.
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, as described in this policy, and in compliance with applicable legal requirements. Our specific retention periods are as follows:
(a) Active applications. Application data for applicants who are not selected is retained for the duration of the casting process plus two (2) years. This allows us to consider applicants for future casting opportunities within the SKILLAZO production and to address any disputes or inquiries that may arise after casting decisions are made.

Media content for selected applicants is retained in accordance with the terms of their individual talent agreements.
(e) Deletion requests. If you request deletion of your personal data, we will process the request and delete your information within thirty (30) days, except where retention is required by law, necessary to resolve disputes, or required to enforce our agreements.
(f) Anonymized data. Anonymized and aggregated data that does not identify you personally may be retained indefinitely for statistical analysis, research, and business planning purposes.
We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement a range of technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
